We answer your questions
What does a bespoke gown creation involve at Maison Maite Bailleul?
It is an exclusive experience dedicated to the singularity of your silhouette. Unlike the adjustment of an existing model, a bespoke gown involves creating a pattern based on your exact measurements. Our approach unfolds in several demanding stages: a creative consultation, design drawing, selection of exclusive fabrics, confection within the Atelier, and multiple validation and fitting appointments. This meticulous process guarantees a piece that is entirely dedicated to your vision.
What investment should be anticipated for a bespoke creation?
The creation of a bespoke piece requires an investment significantly higher than that of bridal ready-to-wear. This investment reflects the exclusivity of the design, the Atelier’s expertise (savoir-faire), and the use of exceptional materials. We invite you to communicate your anticipated budget estimate in our consultation form. This allows us to ensure that your gown project is immediately aligned with the exacting standards of our process.
What is the total duration of the creation process?
The total creation of a bespoke gown requires sufficient time to guarantee excellence and precision. We recommend initiating your project between 9 and 12 months prior to your wedding date. This timeframe allows for optimal selection of materials, serene work within the Atelier, and ensures that all validation stages are integrated without haste. For any urgent request with a deadline of less than 6 months, we invite you to contact us directly to assess technical feasibility.
How does the first consultation proceed?
This initial meeting is an essential, non-binding creative consultation. We discuss your world, the style of your celebration, and the lines that will best enhance your silhouette. This time is used to define the sketch of your design, present our exclusive materials, and establish the foundations of a truly bespoke project.
Do you accompany international clients?
Yes. Maison Maite Bailleul is fully equipped to accompany clients residing abroad. The initial consultation stages can be conducted remotely. The scheduling of validation appointments and final fittings is then precisely defined to minimize your travel.
Note: A trip by the designer is possible depending on the location, but the logistics costs incurred are subject to a specific quote.
What are the payment terms?
Payment terms are specified in the contract provided to you following the validation consultation. Generally, payment is processed via bank transfer or card.
Can payment be made in installments?
Yes, payment is organized through staggered installments. An initial deposit validates the launch of the creation process. Subsequent payments are then defined according to an agreed-upon schedule, often aligned with the key stages of your gown’s confection.
What are the conditions for order cancellation or modification?
The conditions for cancellation or modification of the order are detailed in the contract. Due to the unique and bespoke nature of each piece, cancellation after the contract is signed and the initial deposit is paid cannot result in a refund. Any major modification to the design during production will require a contract addendum and will be subject to technical feasibility.
Do you offer outfits for other parts of the celebration (Civil Ceremony, Reception)?
Absolutely. We also design bespoke gowns for the civil ceremony, as well as exclusive ensembles for events preceding or following the main ceremony. These pieces benefit from the same exacting standards of style and confection as the wedding gown itself.
Do you work with colors other than white?
Yes. While white and ivory remain classic choices, we work with a palette of tones and shades that adapt to the personality and desired design. This is an intrinsic part of the creative approach defined during the initial consultation.
