RITUELS - 2022 collection
New Orleans, 19th century.
In the mist of a bayou, some indulge in the practice of Voodoo, while others enjoy Bourbon Street, at the foot of colonial houses. It is into this period and this place, shrouded in mystery and legends, that Maïté Bailleul seeks to transport you through her new collection, named RITUELS. This collection draws its inspiration from the powerful and independent Voodoo priestesses of the era, emblematic figures who embody the strength and impact they exert on society. These are women who feel beautiful and strong, defying the conventions of their time.
With airy and ethereal materials, the designer immerses you in a mystical universe, imbued with spirituality and magic. Each gown is an invitation to explore this duality between delicacy and power. The elongated silhouette is featured on these seven models, highlighting the hips and waist, accentuating the natural beauty of every woman.
Added to these clean lines, the inlays and cut-outs become the signature details of this collection, bringing a touch of modernity while respecting the spirit of the Voodoo priestesses. Each piece is conceived to celebrate femininity and self-affirmation, transforming the wedding into a true ritual of beauty and strength.
